hazardous and non-hazardous contaminated soil Treatment
2ZLF can receive hazardous and non-hazardous contaminated soil (EWC 17 05 03* and EWC 17 05 04). This can also include material under RPS 211 which is due to be withdrawn in 2021. With the codes on the permit 2ZLF can bring material onto site and then ensure material is classified correctly.
2ZLF can accept this material as wet waste or dry waste. Hydro-excavation is an ever more popular technique for excavating around critical services. High pressure water is jetting into the soil, fluidising the soil whilst simultaneously being sucked into the tanker.
Depending on the classification the Wet Waste is dewatered as per the other waste materials, with the water treated appropriately. The dry and dewatered material is processed through the plant. This can be on a batch basis if required.

Zero to Landfill for qualifying classification.
