Trees for Derby
2ZLF and Trees for Derby
Enhancing the lived environment and addressing the urgent need for practical measures to mitigate the impact of climate change, the Trees for Derby initiative ticks all the boxes, reducing CO2 and returning areas to their natural vegetation. Impressed by their vision and can do approach, 2ZLF have committed to support Trees for Derby with a monthly donation and a day per employee of volunteering per year. We look forward to getting stuck in!
Trees for Derby is a community charity committed to planting 250,000 trees in Derby – that’s one for every Derby resident!
By planting 250,000 trees in and around our city Trees for Derby are helping to regenerate our urban landscape, improve our air quality and enhance our community's wellbeing while tackling climate change on our doorsteps.
Not only does tree planting offset our carbon emissions, but it has the added benefit of regenerating our urban landscape, cleaning our air and improving our wellbeing.
Trees For Derby’s primary role is as a facilitator between landowners and tree fund access. They talk to businesses, identify planting sites and orchestrate tree planting events on private and public land. Having only been going a few months we already have our first planting organised, lopping 1,000 trees off our goal in partnership with the Woodland Trust.
