With dynamic screening, attrition washing, vibrating decks to size and rinse; centrifugal fines dewatering, dissolved air floatation and electrocoagulation water treatment, 2ZLF offer efficient and cost effective recycling of a wide range of hazardous and non hazardous waste including: road sweepings, soil, gully waste and interceptor waste from the highways, MBT grits and MRF glass.
Wet & Dry Waste
The 2ZLF facility includes a Wet Waste Bay enabling us to receive wet waste in tankers including some hazardous wastes (see permit).
Wet Waste is tipped into the wet waste bay where water is pumped away, treated and reused in the wash process whilst the now dewatered solids are processed in the main plant.
Dry waste enters the site and is stockpiled awaiting processing . Our site is able to receive walking floors, tippers and bulkers .

The most important statement on this website. We at 2ZLF are constantly reviewing processes and procedures to ensure that no harm is done to People or the Environment within and around the boundaries of our site.
We run an open and inclusive near miss programme such that the smallest occurrences are recorded and analysed to ensure we identify problem areas before accidents can occur.
Fast Turnaround
We have an automated weighbridge which clients have their own dedicated swipe card with contractual login details. This allows the regular users zip in and out of the site all day.
Material for the Wet Waste Bay is booked in by prior appointment to ensure waiting time is minimised. Product collection bulkers are also booked in carefully to ensure that the site runs smoothly for all our clients.

2ZLF are one of our key partners to deliver our 25-year Derby & Derbyshire PPP Contract. Their site at West Meadows Industrial Estate near the centre of Derby allows for the quick and efficient turn-a-round of the City’s fleet of sweeper and gully trucks while also facilitating the disposal and treatment of de-watered sweepings via 44-tonne walking floor trailers from our more distant sites. We are very happy with their ability to treat and recover our road sweepings and gully arisings, which offers a high percentage of recycling therefore allowing us improved reporting figures for our clients.
