2ZLF offer a turnkey interceptor waste recycling service. We treat and recycle all interceptor waste codes including hazardous EWC 13 05 08 interceptor waste and interceptor sludge at our recycling plant in Derby, using electrocoagulation to recover oil from the waste
2ZLF minimising the interceptor waste recycling footprint, producing recycled, treated product for non-hazardous waste disposal. Interceptor sludge is assigned the EWC 13 05 08* which is an absolute hazardous code. 2ZLF is permitted to receive 130508. The Tankers firstly decant their water element through a vibrating primary screen from where it is pumped through a solids settlement system and into the 2ZLF electrocoagulation water treatment system.
The tanker then tips the solids into a dedicated, isolated bay. The solids are then loaded into a solids treatment system where the sand is scrubbed clean with the fines and oil passing to the settlement system.
