FAST & EFFICIENT TANKER WASTE TREATMENT

Excavation water is a common source of the tanker waste recycled at the 2ZLF plant in Derby.  Backed by our zero to landfill guarantee, 2ZLF provide a fully sustainable tankered excavation wastewater recycling service. Depending on its classification, the wet tanker waste is dewatered as per the other waste materials, with the water treated appropriately. The dry and dewatered material is processed through the plant. This can be done on a batch basis if required.

With extensive excavations planned in and around the water table, HS2 will be a major source of EWC 17 05 03* and EWC 17 05 04 excavation wastewater requiring tanker waste treatment.

Speed and efficiency is built into our tankered waste treatment process design. Tankers unload directly into our plant, with coarse trash screen being the first step followed by sand separation and silt separation.

The 2ZLF recycling plant benefits from a full water treatment system which ensures that heavy metals and oils are removed from the wash water continuously.
